Saw The Ladykillers today and do you know what? It wasn't that bad. Poor reviews pretty much all round, but I actually quite liked it. Tom Hanks made me laugh with anything he said, and he hasn't been able to do that since Big. Hello! Thanks to Craig pointing out that it's now free to join LJ I shake off the cloak of anonymity and emerge into the LJ Sunshine.

Ahem. Anyway - I read an interesting article with one of the Coens saying how familiar he was with the Ealing Comedies due to family living in the UK for a long time. I got the impression he was annoyed/puzzled by the apparant outrage at their daring to adapt a supposed British classic.

Anyway it's Harry Potter for me next - I'm still reeling from The Day After Tomorrow. (And Clash of the Titans which I taped off Channel last week - they kept going on about the destruction of Argos, which was a mite peculiar.)

It's nice to have you on board at last! We should all meet up a lot more, me thinks.
Saw Potter, not a huge fan so I rated it so so. Craig and me are attending the Cambridge film festival which starts next week. 25 films in ten days, we're just crazy! Love it.
