Dreams are weird. Why can we learn things from our dreams? Our dreams give us no extra information, nothing we haven't seen before, but in our dreams we can see stuff that surprises. That's just wild.
lol omg i totaly had a dream about the sun exploding once and that we had three minutes to live. it scared the bejeebies outta me. couldn't stop thinking about a week, stared at the sky periodically to you know...check up on it lol.
we learn nothing from them because they are just random memories being sucked together... they don't make any sense, therefore they don't teach us anything.

I've had a few of those lately.
It's creepy.
Last night I dreamed that some asshole friend of mine dropped Freya(one of my dogs) at the subway, we were escapring the apocalypse.

The shock and awe within what you said relies entirely on the proposition that people shouldn't be able to learn anything in dreams.
