Plus, I can't say it enough but she doesn't know him. And, we know by now that Charlie doesn't want to be made to feel vulnerable. She can't seem to handle it. I think it's easier for her, at least in her mind to go with the thought. Oh, he's just his mind about me. So, yeah, it stings a bit now, but she thinks she's saved herself from being really hurt later on down the road ( ... )

Perfectionist!Paul rears his head, I see, LOL. I certainly think he's going to be good help to Charlie but there is such a thing as overkill and burnout. And I think that you showed it really well with this line here : The excitement of writing had worn off and she no longer felt creative enough to carry on.. Very burnt-out and that happens to creative passionate types. The idea comes fast and hard but the work to make it work and be really good is harder to come by for some. Charlie definitely is the passionate type, and while she's determined, she knows when to back off a bit and let a piece breathe ( ... )

I couldn't go further with the Paul and Charlie writing scene because I couldn't think of any lyrics on the fly. However, Charlie knows when it's time to stop. Paul on the other hand likes to go and go here. Plus, I think he just really wants to be around Charlie and he knows when the writing stops that she'll be on his way ( ... )

Lots of miscommunication going on here, assumptions and the like. It's been something of a way of life for Charlie, and will be a bit harder for the involved Beatles to overcome as they're both still dealing with the 'trauma' of coming to America AND finding they're a rousing success. Such is the spice of life. If everything were clear and understood life would certainly be a bore.

It is good that the guys have held their tongues in favor of good will... but bad that tongue holding often makes things even more confusing. Fun times.

Keep going!!

And, we've seen the trouble of assuming from Paul. He's got it all wrong. And, his meddling just might make things worse, but for who, that's the question.

The age old troupe of everyone is going around thinking one thing, but not calling out each other on their assumptions. Or even just trying to talk to one another to find out what's going on. It's the kind of thing that'll ruin Ringo and Charlie's chances for more with each other.
