Brief sex scene! Cheek! Get your mind out of the gutter, you! Lol. It was the bit at the club, actually. Where they talk and then play with the band. That bit. The rest was very good too though. The whole thing was great

I really find Charlie fascinating in and of herself, her involvement with Ringo actually almost secondary to me. She's clearly got some very interesting stories of her life that have shaped her into the person she is. And it's good to see that's she starting to grow a bit in and of herself. This sentence right here For once, Charlie didn’t try to play it cool. in regards to seeing Ringo's car pull up, it really is a moment of growth. She backs away again but that's rather true to life, I should think. Starting to feel something but not wanting to be vulnerable

This is my favorite chapter that I've written for their story.
Charlie is a interesting character, with or without any romantic entanglement with a Beatle. It's very satisfying to write a character that readers will find interesting when she has scenes on her own without Beatles.
She is steadily growing as a character, but these changes don't take place overnight. And, she's far from doing a complete change around.
Yes, you are correct in your assumption that Charlie was hurt physically, and didn't have a stable home life. But, the reveal of all of this won't happen in this story. This isn't the right moment for it, and Charlie just isn't there as a character. And, neither is her relationship with Ringo. They are in the beginning stages of something neither one of them can quite put a name to at the moment.
Ringo is strong here. He's himself and that's exactly what Charlie needs. There aren't any pretenses and he's straight forward and steady. And, she needs that.
