I often wonder that by vowing to not have resolutions, if that is a resolution in itself. Terribly sorry if I've confused you, but I'm going on one of my nightly rounds.

You haven't confused me at all. I've often wondered if promising to make no promises counts as being a promise. You know what I mean.

Nightly rounds? Have a touch of insomnia too, huh?

For the sake of my sanity, I tell myself that it is the promise to end all promises. I know it's redundant, but it seems to justify it a bit more.

I guess you could say that. Got a lot on your mind?

Nothing quite so earth-shattering. I think my biggest dilemma at the moment is trying to decide what I want on my pizza. I've made it a point to not worry about the bigger things until after the New Year.

I'm in New York, so anytime that you feel like taking a walk, ring me. I've heard that I'm a good listener.

That is a very good resolution and one that is possible to keep. Mine is to start blow drying my hair each day, rather than going to rehearsal dripping. =)

It's a real hassle dealing with that daily routine, isn't it? Things would be so much easier if we were living in a Jetson world, wouldn't they? We could have one of those very convenient masks to slip on in the morning. No fuss.

By picking up the wet towels, you're taking care not to trip on them or slip on the water and hurt yourself. It's a tiny step, but technically you're keeping a resolution to stay in good health! You've accomplished more than you thought.

That made quite a bit of sense in my head, and then I tried to write it out and it went nowhere. I think the original point was to thank you for adding me, so thank you, Ms. Danes, I've added you back.

I like the way you think, Portia. Yes, my resolution is for continued better health. I'm going to take that and run with it.

You're more than welcome. I'm highly interested in seeing where you go from here. Anything in the works for you?

Excellent! You're keeping your resolutions already.

I have a part on a fairly new show on Fox called Arrested Development, and I just finished filming a horror movie. As much as I love waking up every day to go to work and scream for a few hours, I'm glad to be home relaxing now. What have you been up to?
