It's always easy to do that on tests tto November 24 2003, 08:19:21 UTC
If it makes you feel any better, I once got the highest score in my physics class on a test that everyone besides me failed (I got an 85), and the only reason I didn't get a 90 was because in one of my derivations I wrote 23=6. I've never lived that down, because my teacher said if I had gotten an A he would not have made me retake the test.

Oh, and I got a 75 on the retake. Ouch.

Don't stress too much about not being able to write, too, Dan. Just write. I know that sounds dumb, but it's true. My Newswriting instructor, Pam, had us all tape this over our desks, and she's write, and you may find this helpful:
"Forget inspiration. Habit is more dependable. Habit will sustain you whether you're inspired or not. Habit will help you finish and polish your stories. Inspiration won't. Habit is persistence in practice." (Octavia Butler)
Best of luck! It sounds like all of these musings will be beautiful when you can get them out. Just keep prodding and I promise the cork'll pop.

*hug* that's all i can think of doing now. I hope you can find solace in words once again, it is sad to temporarily lose a friend you thought you'd always have. I hope things start to perk up a bit around this holiday season and that some cheer can shine through the clouds over lake michigan just for you. *hug*
