One Way to Stop a Conversation

Oct 10, 2008 08:59

There was a new girl at knitting last night. We were talking about House and she said, "Oh, I remember that episode. I had the exact same symptoms as that girl, too. My anti-psychotic drugs made me lactate." It took us a while to get the conversation started again after that.

Please, that would be the start of the next 3 hours of convo for me.

I just didn't know what to do -- make a joke, ask a question, talk about the weather....

Oh, darn. I just did an internet search. She was probably just on Prozac. Hardly, anti-psychotics.

I could so tell you awesome things about breast milk if I ever talked to you anymore.

Like the fact that when I started with symptoms of pink eye last week, the first thing I did was hand express some and put it in my eye.

Hee. The first time someone I knew told me about that side-effect of her drugs, I thought it was damn cool and we talked about it for a while. And I'd do it again! :)

I guess it just threw us all by surprise. Also, most people in this town don't even talk about being *depressed*, let alone psychotic, due to the clearance situation.
