Could someone tell me why Fausto licks inanimate (and I can only imagine not very tasty) things? This is included, but not limited to:

Book covers
Magazine covers
Phone
the plaster wall in my bedroom

Could be tasty. Perhaps he's short of some sort of vitamin or mineral and it's found in those items? Or perhaps he's just not right in the head?
