I'm curious about something regarding this meme going around where the first five people to speak up get something made by you, and you have to post the thing and do the same thing

This meme confuses me. It is a bit like an upside down pyramid scheme. {goes off to have a think about it}

Not really...the basis of a pyramid scheme is that the people who get in early get the rewards. With this you get back what you put in, at least numbers-wise, and it doesn't have to involve crazy outlay of money or resources. It can be, as stated in the meme, a poem, a painting, or anything you make yourself.

Everybody's got an at least slightly different friends list so it will still get passed around. That way it's more fun for everyone
