dreams

For awhile i was very focused on remembering my dreams, with the goal of increasing the frequency and length of my lucid dreams. It worked, but then I stopped. It was when I was living with C. Why did I stop? I don't know!

The dream phase of sleep (more than just the processing of information) is very important. It also triggers some immune system activity. I think it's the B cells that flood the circulatory system during REM sleep. After B cells identify pathogens, they alert the T cells which then go out to destroy the intruders. T cells might sit idle if the B cells haven't done their preliminary work by signaling an invasion. (I think that's how it works.)

And sometimes I envy people who can remember their dreams. My dream log rarely gets any entries.
