Awesome! My first thought was, "WOW, stuff like that ACTUALLY EXISTS!!"
I love all of them, but my favorites are the photos where very Chinese and beautiful things are contrasted with the rather plebian, like the SPECTACULAR view of the misty Chinese mountains over . . . rowhouses, and the red Chinese lantern on a dingy deck.
Haha, the mountains+rowhouses was actually one of the views from my hotel window in Kunming. One of my favorite parts is that the houses are still rocking the traditional looking eaves. The "deck" is actually part of one of the veryvery old houses in Lijiang oldtown, but that one does look kinda rundown. I think the wires add a certain je ne sais quoi. I have another picture of a bunch of calves asleep in the middle of a city street. China is interesting like that.
The craziest part is that I have more, but I thought this entry was getting a little out of hand. :) If you're ever offered the chance to go to Yunnan (or anywhere in China, really) DO IT.
