Hey! Totally off topic, but Nicole messaged me on FaceBook and told me that you might be teaching a course on the issues in health care and possibly could be interested in my story... to give you a general idea, I'm a Canadian with a severe case of Crohn's Disease, which is very difficult and expensive to treat. I'm also an American citizen (I was born there, but my parents are Canadian and we moved back here when I was very young) and last year had been interviewing for jobs in the states. Unfortunately, due to health care concerns, I ultimately decided that even though I was offered a dream job in my dream location (Hawaii), dealing with the US health care system was simply too much of a hassle. (Calling to get information as to whether or not my medications were covered and to what level was already a hassle, I found
