I haven't bought non-organic fruit in a loong time.

I was at the regular grocery store yesterday and the Granny Smiths were on sale. I thought to myself, "Sure, why not?" So, I bought one.

Tonight, I touched my tongue to that green skin and it burned. *gags* Pesticides like you wouldn't believe. And I'd already washed it once ( Read more... )

I don't buy organic fruit and veggies, but wow, I don't blame you at all. It burned your tongue? Gyaah. Definitely stick to organics.

*sigh* I need to get down to the Roots Market in Clarksville one of these weekends. It's stuff like this that makes it more and more appealing...

Horrible. Absolutely horrible. Bleh. I almost always buy organic, not just because it's free of pesticides, but also because much of the organic fruits and veggies sold in stores are grown in America. After that hepatitis A breakout because of the foreign grown green onions on the news recently, I just feel better about it. Plus, it supports the local economy.

But the burning. The burning! guh.
