"Umh, what are you doing?" Annie stopped what she was doing and looked up at the lanky brunette guy standing behind her with a perplexed look on his face. Oh, crap. Yeah, just the first impression she liked to make on the neighbours or the neighbours boyfriend or whatever.

"I'm picking the lock." Is what she told the man matter of factly. There was no hiding from it now what with her crouched down in front of the door with a lock picking stuff beside her. It's not like she's actually breaking into somebodies place or something. She's not a robber, she's just a locksmith...who accidentally happened to lock herself out of her own brand spanking new flat.

"I see that, but I'm asking you why? Why are you picking the lock?" She packed up her stuff and stood up, looking the man in the face and smiling awkwardly at him. "It's my place, I'm just kinda locked out. I'm Annie, and you are?" Annie asked him while putting out her hand for him to shake.

"I'm Simon. I live just down the street. How do I know your not just lying about living here so I'll go away?" Of course she had to go and act all thievery while a cute guy walks past and gives a damn. Damn it, just her luck. It's not like he could have walked past sooner when she was still looking for her keys or when she was moving boxes or something.

"Well, you don't but I'm telling the truth. I just forgot my keys inside and I'm a locksmith, so I know this stuff." So, yeah she kinda felt like she was back in school with her looking down at her shoes instead of the guys face as she explained something. But before she had mumbled on forever and an ever bigger fool of herself than she already had, Maria showed up to her rescue.

"Hey, what's...up?" The ginger woman asked Annie when she stopped beside the guy who's name Annie thinks is Simon (That's what he said, right?) and glanced at Annie's lock picking set. "Locked out again? Seriously with your profession, you would think she didn't lock herself out so much." Maria told the guy beside her before producing a set of keys with a lot of all kinds of key chains and selected a key.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Just open the damn door." Annie muttered to her long time best friend before Simon (she's sure that's his name) noticed how her cheeks were burning up and soon she'd look like a tomato. But Maria took her sweet time getting the front door open and chatting away to Simon which annoyed her a bit because hello, it was like Annie was invisible all of a sudden.

"Anyways I guess you got your answer now. I'm not a robber, I just really did forget my keys. And why I gave Maria a spare set of keys. Bye." Annie told Simon, before she escaped inside after Maria opened the door and hid in her kitchen (she had snatched Maria's keys with her) until her friend stopped chatting the guy up and got inside when he left. God, that was so embarrassing.
