there was a girl like that in my school when i was really young. (first grade or something)? I remember her name was stephanie and she was really *big* and she had terrible hygeine (which at HER age was her family's fault, Not hers.) but no one wanted to sit next to her because she smelled and kids are so mean, they used to make fun of her. i remember making a mean comment or two as well about not wanting to be around her. that and she was the only fat kid in the whole class so everyone harassed her and only her. i have no idea what happened to her. even now when my mom tells me about so and so from school or my hometown, i've never heard any mention of her. isn't it weird how we remember things like that. it makes you feel bad for being a bratty little kid, but i think we have all done that. the difference is, we don't do it NOW as adults. because some people never stop.

Yeah i was always overweight. The kids picked on me from kindergarden on up. I had some friends along the way and a boyfriend or two but it still hurt all the same. I became so depressed through school. In high school i rebeled though. Through parties behind my moms back when she wasnt home. Did a lot of drinking and drugs. Had a lot of experiences i prolly shouldve waited for. Then i got pregnant. Stopped everything and grew up. Sooner or later it was bound to happen. The grow up thing not the pregnant thing. So now im forever changed by my tormenting and by parent hood. I guess nobody stays the same. Im a stronger person.

I think theres a good percentage of people that have had to go through that at one time or another. The popular people are the minority and the ones the pissed on are great in number.
The only way to avoid feeling out of place is to accept yourself, which not a lot of young kids can do.
Its all very complicated stuff..but no, college is not like that. The people are (for the most part) more mature.
