Character Name: Luki
Series: DOGS: Bullets & Carnage
Gender: Female
Age & canon point: 10, volume 4
Requested Sponsor: "Pearl, 'cause pearls are pretty!" (Sapphire or Topaz would probably be a better fit. Also, assuming both their applications are approved, please put the twins in the same sponsorship)
Appearance: Luki is an average sized child with a fair complexion. Her hair is turquoise and short, worn in a somewhat messy bob haircut. Her eyes have heterochromia, with one eye colored golden yellow while the other is dark blue. Luki is almost always found wearing black and pink - although she wears more black than pink and tends to prefer pink accents on her clothes. She also prefers to wear clothing with higher collars when she's out in public so that her cerberos spine doesn't show. The cerberos spine protrudes out of her neck and if left uncovered is visually apparent unless one is at a distance.
History: Luki comes from a violent crime-ridden world where the police are largely ineffective at enforcing the law (the army tends to be much more effective), gangs run wild, and where nobody is even surprised at seeing two little girls running around without any adult supervision. There are frequent disappearances that are more likely to be investigated by private investigators than by the local authorities. There is also a place referred to only as the 'Underground' where some of the most dangerous lurk. Luki comes from the Underground - a young subject of genetic experimentation along with her twin sister.
Luki's memories prior to waking up in the Underground are a blank. This is partially due to her young age, and partially because of the effects the genetic modification had on her memories. She and her twin were amongst many children who were kidnapped, experimented on, and trained to be weapons. Like other children in her same circumstance, she woke up with a Cerberos spine implanted into her body. It appeared to be a collar, but one that was mostly internal. It granted her regenerative abilities and enhanced physiology. The children also got their first experience with their regenerative abilities by being attacked by a genetically engineered monster.
Luki and Noki quickly learned that in order to please their "mother" and self-proclaimed physician, Angelica Einstellsehn, they had to take down whatever was sent their way without hesitation. As a coping mechanism, they made a game out of it and treated the cruel training regiment as playtime.
When Luki and Noki were first taken out of the Underground, they enjoyed being above ground so much that they ventured out on their own numerous times without permission. They also quickly realized that they could make money of their own and achieve some sort of measure of semi-independence by bounty hunting. During one such excursion, they encountered their "big brother", Haine, and a swordswoman named Naoto whom they were quick to start referring to as "big sis". In spite of the injuries they received by the end of the fight, when Luki and her sister received a message to return, they ran off. They were more distressed about the damage to their clothes than the damage to their bodies, concerned that they were going to get yelled at.
Afterwards, Luki and Noki spent some time under the supervision of Campanella Freuling (or Miss Fuu, as the girls called her). She proved capable of keeping the girls in check until they could be returned to the Underground. Luki and Noki teased their big brother Giovanni about getting yelled at when he was being sent above ground for a mission, and he told them to not compare him to themselves. They were returned to their "mother" shortly afterwards. After the trouble they had caused and their mother's plan coming to fruition, Luki hid in a library with Noki, deciding that "mama was being scary".
Luki had suggested to Noki that they find something fun to do and was leading the way to something more fun when she suddenly found herself pulled to Balamb Garden.
Abilities & Physical Abnormalities: Luki's hair is green and worn in a short bob haircut. She's also got heterochromia - her right eye is a golden yellow color, and her left is dark blue. Although Luki usually wears a sweater with a higher collar, if she happens to wear a tank top, one can see the other physical abnormalities. She has a ring that sticks out partially from her neck and connects to her spine called a cerberos spine, and the ring also connects to another smaller ring on her right arm. As for Luki's abilities, the most dramatic ability she has rapid spontaneous regeneration. She can have holes blown through her body and be completely fine in under a minute. The main limitation to her accelerated healing factor is if her head is destroyed or she is decapited, she will die. She will live through and recover from just about anything else. Additionally, Luki's strength and speed are enhanced to the levels of an adult in peak human condition. She's not going to bench press cars or outrun them anytime soon, but she can keep a skilled adult combatant in good shape on their toes. Given that she's been raised to be a killing machine, fighting is the main thing she knows, with a bit of reading, writing, and math thrown into her education on the side.
Personality: On the surface, if one isn't paying too much attention, Luki seems like a mostly normal little girl (aside from her odd coloring, of course). She's cheerful, energetic, and playful. She enjoys her favorite kinds of food with great enthusiasm and will converse with strangers in a very ordinary and seemingly innocent way for a girl of her age. She is extremely close to her twin sister Noki, and the two wear similar outfits - the style is identical, with the color scheme reversed. Luki is curious and will conveniently forget about rules for the sake of going out and having fun.
If one is paying closer attention, however, it becomes quickly apparent that Luki is a seriously disturbed child. Luki is extremely violent. She considers bounty hunting a game of tag wherein she is 'it' and is disappointed if her target isn't interesting enough. Her idea of 'fun' involves fighting with an opponent who can keep up with her. Luki also has very low self-preservation instincts. She enjoys danger to the point that she could be considered an adrenaline junkie. Luki doesn't generally take it personally if someone seriously harms her either, and if they've put up an interesting enough fight, she'll even thank the person for playing with her. In fact, due to her regenerative abilities, she is more likely to be upset about damage to her clothing than damage to her body.
Luki's sister Noki is a big part of Luki's sense of identity. Luki doesn't think of herself as an individual - she thinks of herself as one half of a matched pair. Of course, being referred to as 'the twins' by the adults around her, and never being encouraged to be anything other than one of the "Invincible Luki Noki twins" will do that. Without her sister, Luki has very little sense of her own identity. Arriving in Balamb Garden without Noki anywhere in sight would affect her quite deeply, even if she'd try to reassure herself that Noki would be along any minute now. Although Luki refers to a few select others as older siblings and to Angelika Einstellshen as her "mother", Noki is the only person whose loss would be truly devastating for her. Noki is the only one who is actually biologically related to her, and Noki has been by her side for as long as she can remember. Luki may be quite capable of taking care of herself in terms of survival, but she's dependent on her sister in less obvious ways.
Luki's personality is quite similar to her sister's, but there are a few notable differences. Luki is more likely to ignore rules than her sister. She's a little more adventurous and is more likely to persuade her sister to do things than vice versa.
Although Luki's personality is currently rather psychopathic and monstrous, she still has the potential to develop empathy and some form of moral compass. It would take an immense amount of counselling, love, and tolerance from an adult who was strong enough to earn her respect to accomplish it, but it is currently possible. Luki is the product of an environment that includes violence, genetic splicing, and no lessons in how to determine right from wrong. Of course, with the wrong influences, Luki could easily become even more of a vicious little psycho than she is now. She is moldable - it all depends on who she latches onto as a role model.
What are your plans for the character in-game? Unintentionally terrorize the Garden. I'd like for Luki to latch onto a role model or two, and idolizing whoever it is being part of the reason she doesn't go and get herself kicked out of the Garden within like...a week. Also, it'd be good if she developed some sense of her own identity, however small.
Anything else? In order to prevent her from being a complete homocidal psycho, my goal is to have Luki find a few people she's eager to please who would not approve of her sense of playtime. Also, I'll be omitting the Japanese honorifics like Noki-mun, although Luki will occasionally speak in childish ways.

Luki sat in her dorm room attempting to work on her homework. It wasn't going very well. Homework was boring and there were so many other fun things she could be out doing with Noki. They could go exploring. There were supposed to be monsters out in the Balamb plains. Maybe they could play tag with one! Or it looked like there was a cooking club. Maybe they could get some treats. Maybe they could go and play in the Training Center...or go follow some of the people who had just been training and look at their cool weapons. Some of the weapons weren't like anything Luki had ever seen before and she wanted a better look.
"Waaah, this is no fun!" she whined. "But...if I don't do it then Miss Fuu and Mama might get mad..."
As she thought about it, she drew pictures of a very cross looking Campanella Freuling and Angelica Einstellsehn frowning at her. "Waaah...they'd get so mad...hey wait." As if a lightbulb had been switched on in her head, Luki realized one very important thing: neither Mama nor Miss Fuu were there. Even big brother Gio was absent.
The homework was promptly abandoned. Luki ran off in search of her sister. It wouldn't be fair to leave Noki behind when they could have fun together, and things were more fun with Noki there anyhow. Luki could have sworn she saw big sis around the Garden. Maybe they could find her and she'd play with them. Or maybe they could find someone who could explain why it was called Garden and the people who graduated were called SeeDs. If they were all grown up and coming from a Garden, Luki thought they ought to be called trees or flowers.
