Today is National Coming Out Day. At NASA/Ames there was a celebration of this for the first time. Honestly, I didn't know that Ames *had* an LGBT group, much less that something like this could be put together there. The celebration had me laughing and in tears repeatedly through it

Ever since he did that "gays love basketball players" parody, I was even more impressed by him.

People also need to be reminded of the stupid things we do to our own citizens like locking them up (chinese,japanese,gitmo,...) and how it never helps or works.

EPA has an LGBT group I think - at least, they periodically have events, usually during June. However, they don't seem to bother to tell the contractors about any of it, because us contractors are a Lower Form of Life.
