All TV, All the Time

So, as far as classic movies go, it's a good tv time. The day before yesterday, TCM showed Murder on The Orient Express. Which is significant only because Anthony Perkins was in it. Is it the anniversary of his birth, or something? It seems like an odd coincidence to have so many of his films playing in a clump like that, unless there's something significant about this month.

I always liked AP. He seemed like such a gentle, introspective actor. He had that vulnerability thing going on that I find intriguing when you infuse a character with it. I'd be interested in seeing him in the WWII pic, since I don't recall him in anything like that. What is it?

No, the WWII picture doesn't have him in it. It's just another movie that happens to be playing this month that I want to see. Although, he did have a small part in a movie called Paris is Burning, one of those epic war movies. He played a soldier. The movies they're showing are Goodbye Again (he plays the younger lover to a married Ingrid Bergman) and The Trial (Kafka, really, really weird movie). So, his movies are spread out over a few months. And, I'm glad you asked if there was some special reason for all these movies. They're showing about 4 of his movies on April 4th, his birthday. I had my dates mixed up.

I also agree about the vulnerability and gentleness about him.
