The final bit with John & Jack in EW makes me fear that the writers are saving Grey up for a second outing, which was the starting point in my head for this. And thanks for the compliment! I wrote this very fast, so it's good to know it worked.

Oh god yes! It was all the more irritating because I thought John Barrowman actually did a surprisingly good job of his part of those scenes but he just didn't really have anything to work against.
