I'm about to start reading New Moon. :) I finished Twilight in two days.

Speaking as a big box bookstore employee, we don't know every release date for all of the books. The book comes out in August, I know that, but only because I've started reading it. :) HP's pretty unique in that it has such an immense following. I don't think I've ever heard of midnight release parties for books until the series came out. :)

I told the lady though, so she has no excuse for not knowing the release date unless she flat out ignored my e-mails.

And yes, it makes me very sad too. I wasn't really expecting to have one but I am quite irritated with that woman. I had been planning on buying the book there with several friends and then having everyone come home with me to read, but I don't even want to do that anymore. She totally threw me off Barnes & Noble, I don't want to support a store with employees like that ; ;
