Seriously. I feel like I'm rising to a whole new level of geekdom.

Basically, since I'm already planning to go to Aki-con this year (which I still need to register for ahahahaha crap), a friend suggested we enter the "Aki Con's Best Otaku Dance Crew" contest. The plan is, we all cosplay Haruhi characters and learn five different Haruhi dances

I'm thinking of doing all of those except Naruto, because I... am not actually familiar with any of the new characters, and I'd rather not draw something I don't know when there's a possibility of fans gushing about it 8|;

Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy 7/Advent Children, Death Note, Axis Powers Hetalia, K-ON!, Phoenix Wright (particular Edgeworth stuff because of his recent game), Durarara!!, Code Geass, Azumanga Daioh!, Hellsing (because of Hellsing Unlimited) and One Piece would all be popular sells, super-absolute-definite sells bolded. I asked my not-quite-anime-geek boyfriend Dewar who has come to Sakura con like 7+ years and usually spends even more time in the artists' alley than I do, so I think it's good info. 83

From what I can tell, fanboys seem to be more willing to slam down the big bucks more than fangirls. Don't forget to draw plenty of moe moe girlz. Basically, fangirls buy small things, and fanboys want big gorgeous posters to oggle at on their wall.

I'm generalizing like crazy here, but that's marketing!! I GUESS

I don't actually know if I'm going to try for anything big like prints, but the list definitely helps! I can't believe I forgot Kingdom Hearts dude what is wrong with me.

And in the case of the HUGE CAST that is Hetalia, best sells would definitely be America, America, and more America. XD But also England, Italy, and Russia, those 4 for sure, at least, and I think your style would go along GREAT with all of them too!! Just remember to make Russia's nose big and England's bushy eyebrows. *3*

Tegami Bachi I'm tempted to do, but I don't know how many people would actually recognize it sob. Durarara!! seems like a pretty safe bet though, considering how much FANART I see of it everywhere geeshes.

As I understand, it's from a Haruhi Suzumiya rhythm game for the Wii where you have to wave your arms around in time to the music to 'dance'. They made up dances for a bunch of the songs, including character specific ones.
