Originally I was going to ask for prompts for my contribution to the Daniel/Vala month of love, but I'm not confident I can capture the back-and-forth dialogue of these two, so I opted for something else to offer. I checked out the previous prompts of
sg1_five_things to see what D/V prompts they had. The titles link back to the original posts where others have written, and I'm including my contributions here.
A.
Five things that Vala will never do to Daniel. 1. She will never charge anything to his credit card that will get him arrested. Embarrass the hell out of him, definitely, but jail time is a no-no.
2. She will never post any photos on the internet of him from off-world, even the hilarious ones... until the Stargate Program goes public.
3. She will never serve him food from her homeworld. It makes MREs look like gourmet meals in comparison.
4. She will never trick him into an off-world marriage ceremony. She wants an Earth wedding with the white dress, the cake, and bouquet throwing. Oh, and the rings. The very, very expensive rings.
5. She will never leave him behind ever again.
B.
Five things Daniel will never tell Vala. 1. The way she first offered herself to him strongly reminded him of Sha're, part of the many reasons he refused her.
2. Her father Jacek offered Daniel his blessing in exchange or access to the alien artifacts stored at Area 51. Daniel refused.
3. Jacek then offered his blessing if Daniel would procure him some weapons grade naquadah. Daniel still refused.
4. Daniel will never tell Vala how kopi luwak gets its distinctive flavour or why he, an avid coffee drinker, won't touch the stuff.
5. Sometimes he would love to run away with her to become space pirates... but only for a minute or two, until he discovers the last thing she's done that gets on his nerves.
C.
Four names for Daniel's baby that Vala would object to and one that she accepts. 1. Janet. Oh, yes, Vala's heard all the stories about the good doctor. No doubt in her mind that Vala would have liked and admired the woman if they'd ever met. The trouble is, Teal'c made her watch The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and she gets "Dammit, Janet" stuck in her head every time she hears the name.
2. Cameron. Yes, it works as a name for either a boy or a girl. But they can't name a child after one member of SG-1 without upsetting the rest, and the child will never forgive them if they use ALL of SG-1's names.
3. George/Georgia. Again, heard all the good things. She just has a horrible feeling that said child will also get the baldness.
4. Homer. No Greek historians--and no Greek tragedies either! And definitely no Simpson's characters.
1. Catherine. If not for the old lady, Vala wouldn't have her Daniel, or baby Catherine.
D.
Five ways Daniel proposed to Vala. 1. On accident: he was reading out a translation of graffiti on some ruins, which apparently included the phrase, "Marry me, Vala." Vala, of course, took it literally and ran with it. Daniel didn't stand a chance.
2. In his sleep: the team was visiting a new planet, and for a week he had recurring dreams about asking her to marry him. Turns out, the planet was populated by a sentient race of telepathic creatures that apparently moonlighted as matchmakers, and had picked up on their bickering as mutual attraction.
3. When he was high: the ceremonial drink offered on P3X-625 was a combination of alcohol and some sort of stimulant that made for a very affectionate Daniel. He proposed to Vala. Then to Sam, Teal'c, Cam, and anyone else they encountered between the village and the infirmary. Jack paid well for the video footage.
4. In the time dilation field: some time after they got together, before General Landry passed on, Daniel decided they should have an official ceremony, once it really did look like it would be 'til death parted them.
5. On purpose: after the Ori are defeated and the last Ba'al clone is dealt with, fearing losing her forever, Daniel decided to take the plunge and asks her to stay on Earth, as his wife.

Five times Daniel surprised Vala. 1. When he bested her aboard the Prometheus.
2. When he trusted her after the bracelet ordeal.
3. When he tried to kill juvenile Adria.
4. When he introduced Jack O'Neill as his boyfriend, and they had her convinced for the better part of the weekend that it was true. She had no idea his poker face could be that good.
5. When he finally admitted his deep and abiding affection for her might actually be love.
F.
Five times Vala surprised Daniel. 1. When she took off her Kull Warrior helmet.
2. When she used the cargo ship to take out the SuperGate.
3. When he found out she had communicated to the others from the Ori galaxy through his body.
4. When she went on her first shopping trip with Sam, and they came back unscathed without the entire contents of the shopping mall.
5. When she cooked for him when he was sick, and it actually made him feel better.
G.
Five reasons Daniel hasn't slept with Vala yet. 1. She's too bold.
2. She's too brash.
3. She's too bright.
4. She's too beautiful.
5. She deserves someone who won't be a killjoy to her crazy schemes.

Five ways Daniel and Vala ended up together. 1. As hosts to Klorel and Qetesh-- after volunteering on Chulak, Daniel is chosen for Klorel. Needing a powerful ally to rise up against Apophis and his queen Amaunet, Klorel rescues Qetesh from an uprising on one of her planets, and together they plot to overthrow the rest of the System Lords from their hidden base on the Tau'ri homeworld.
2. As members of the Atlantis Expedition-- during Vala's botched attempt to steal the Prometheus, Daniel persuaded her to accompany him and the crew to Atlantis on the promise of Ancient tech and maybe even a bigger, better ship than theirs. They both ended up staying in Atlantis to defend against the Wraith, discover any secrets in Atlantis, and hunt down Ancient treasure scattered throughout the Pegasus Galaxy.
3. As Harrid & Sallis in the Ori Galaxy-- quickly realising things may not be what they appear, Daniel & Vala fake illness and injury to isolate themselves from the villagers until they are better able to pretend to be Harrid and Sallis, thus not alerting the Ori of their existence for some time. By the time they are uncovered, they are quite attached to each other and also hot on the trail of an artifact called the Ark of Truth, which allows them to unveil the Ori to their believers, and the Ori lose enough power for the Ancients to engage them in battle in the higher planes of existence. Not long after that, Daniel and Vala find a long-range communication device to put their ancient communication stones in, and undo the connection so they can return to their bodies.
4. As Val & Danny at Sol's Diner-- both are kidnapped from dinner at the restaurant by members of the Trust. Athena tries rummaging through both their memories for intel on caches of ancient technology. Suffering from amnesia after the rescue operation goes awry, they wind up in Sol's Diner and Sal takes pity on them, giving Val a job as waitress and Danny a job as short order cook. They don't like to be separated out of each others sight for long, even if they can't remember why they have a deep connection.
5. As Space Pirates-- after the Ori are defeated and the last Ba'al clone is dealt with, Vala gets a wild look in her eyes, and Daniel quickly comes up with a plan to keep her from running. Bringing in Cam, Teal'c, Sam, Jack, and even Cassandra Frasier and Mini-Jack, they "borrow" the George Hammond in order to seek out the fate of Jonas Quinn, explore the galaxy, and eat pie.
So, there you have it. Not full fics at this point, but maybe could expand on something here, given the right motivation. :)
