... if we're resetting the club sequence, I think the "yapping" comment goes away. Unless Daniel felt the need to be biting, the sequence continues amicabley all the way until she ducks out to pick up her coat wrack. :)

I really like the way you are having Daniel muse over his new-found life. (And journals are fun!) Daniel is coming to understand that while he inherited Daniel Green's legacy, he is not the same man. I like Daniel deciding to refer to him as Green, and for the sake of clarity, I will steal it.

Before we clarified (and while I was still pissed off) I had this burst of inspiration that Else would summon a zeitgeist of Green
post-combat with Jake for Daniel to see. Thus understand why the world is wary of him and does not take kindly to being psychologically evicerated in converstation by the mage who let himself become that torn up.

And while that's a badass idea, it isn't neccessary to layeth any smack-downs. I just wanted to let you know that despite weirdness, I was still being inspired by you. :)
