I had this really fucked up dream last night in which it became fashionable for women to swallow lye, and those who survived were seen as having a lot of merit, and could show off their cracked up chemical-burned throats. It was incredibly disgusting and troubling and I haven't been able to get the image of cracked flesh out of my head all day.
