Sorry I'm a day late posting.

Yesterday, I went to my first and only post op appointment with my ENT's assistant. She said everything looks great and that the chances of me bleeding are slim. Of course, be careful. I think that is one of the reason's they have you go this appointment. They are trying to assess your recovery and chances of bleeding.

 Today, I stopped taking my pain killers. I didn't cut back to half a dose every six hours as I thought I would. I just stopped and took plain old Tylenol.

Nothing much to report.

I spend a good chunk of the day chatting with my neighbor. It was nice to get out.

I'm planning on posting daily until day fourteen. As we get closer, there is less to post about. I guess that is good news.

Today, I feel a there is a marked improvement. I wasn't expecting that since I never really felt horrible. I seem to have made it through this surgery with flying colors so fars. Yet, there is a difference today. Today, there has been a decrease in swelling. Enough of a decrease to lead me to feeling more normal. I'm also taking pain killers every ( Read more... )

Quick Update

My scabs are not coming off yet. At least, it doesn't look or feel that way. So, I'm still pain free. I'm taking my percocet every 5 hours. I think by Monday I'll switch to every six hours and then Tuesday, 1/2 dose every six hours until finished.

Overall I have mixed feeling about my scabs. I'm happy they are still on because I figure ( Read more... )

 Today I began taking the diuretic my GP gave me. It has worked. My weight is almost at pre-op weight and my feet are almost back to their original beauty. Sausages - no more.

I'm taking my pain killers every 5 hours now. I'm not sure if I'll cut back tomorrow or on Monday to six hours. The pain has increased but, it is completely tolerable. I ( Read more... )
