The best insulation would actually be a vacuum, i believe. The less dense a substance is, the more difficult it is for heat to travel through. We use heavy blankets to keep us warm because our heat gets trapped in the blanket and circulates it back to us because of the low density of air around it debilitates the departure of the heat. -yeah, this
