I am very discouraged. I graduated from San Diego State University two years ago and now have my BA and teaching credential, but can't find a job to save my life. I have been stuck substituting, this is my second year now and I am pulling my hair out. All I wanted to to in life is have a family and be a teacher. I am a great teacher and know I will

Wow... you should come up to Central California, it seems there are a lot of teaching jobs opening here, pretty often. The school I work at got like four new teachers this year.

Of course, California isn't exactly the best state to teach in. It's the best state to get credentialled in, I'm sure you know, but the pay isn't wonderful, as I'm sure you also know. Maybe if you had a chance to move to another state you could get a job more easily / one that pays better? I'm hoping to eventually be a teacher and possibly work in Washington state, since I love it up there and I'm pretty sure they pay their teachers a bit better... it also doesn't hurt that my boyfriend is stationed up there for a couple years. So we'll see. ^_^ Good luck!!
