school trip

from wednesday to saturday i went on what was to me, japan's answer to 'magical mystery tour...' had no idea where we were going or what we were doing but it normally involved a temple, a really big set of stairs to climb and souvenier shops

So you went on a Shuugaku Ryokoo? Where was it? Could you find out and let me know? You don't need to tell me all the places you visited but if you could give me the general idea that would be great.
