He IS quite the poo-poo head. And no, the added weight of other people's pain will not make him any less of a poo-poo head. He doesn't value himself, and so he assumes that anyone else who values him must be as fucked-up as he is. Of course none of this changes the fact that you're gonna keep caring about him, which is why we love you so. What's giving you fits is that you tend to assume that caring means you have to fix problems, and you can't. All you can do is provide emotional support for the people who DO have to fix the problems. You're expending so much energy beating yourself up for not being able to do more that you're out of energy for doing what you CAN do to help. Knock it off, wench. We don't want you making yourself suffer for not being able to fix stuff we haven't asked you to fix. We don't keep you around to be "useful". We keep you around because we love you and you make us happier just by being you. Now quit giving yourself hell or we will REFUSE to beat you :D
