(n.) the belief that you are a cat
junsu has six cats, if it wasn't for his constant absence in his home he would have added another. maybe two more if he felt like it. at first she didn't mind them, the six, furry things minded their own business and she minded hers. both riin and the cats lived in harmony. but that was before, when she stayed not more than a night (two nights if he didn't allow her to leave the bed), when she didn't live under the same roof of her significant other.
she had a dog, her name was shunzi, so pets weren't new to her. only difference was, hers was a dog, not a cat, she had one pet, not six.
so when she turns for the seventh time only to see the cats still following her, she throws her hands in the air and grasps her hair. riin slumps herself on the floor and glares at the cats, but softens when their big, round eyes curiously stare back.
riin didn't know what they wanted, she gave them food, toys, but her efforts resulted to nothing. she knew better than to call junsu at this time, she had to deal with this herself.
"stubborn little things, aren't you?"
they meow-ed in response, as if they understood, and she groans. riin feels weight on her stomach and sees leo conveniently laying down after giving a yawn.
"yah," she scolds. bakira purs and scoots itself under her arm, tickling her armpit. "you --"
all of a sudden there was weight on her legs, on her right arm, and if she didn't blow on tigger's ear it would've sat on her chest.
"junsu!" she whines as if he was there, because his not so happy voice itself would be enough to scare them away and of course get them off her body that was beginning to ache.
she lifts her head and manages to see the clock through leo's wall of roundness. she wasn't sure if it read four-thirty or five-thirty, but he said he'd be home before six. the cats had begun to sleep, and if it meant not following her around anymore, she wasn't going to disturb their nap.
riin wasn't going to move.
"...rinnie?"
her eyes open and sees junsu hover over her form with an amused expression, close to laughing if his hand didn't stop him from doing so.
"junsu," she sighs in relief.
"what are you doing?"
she pouts and half-glares at the six feline cats slumped onto her body.
"do you believe you're a cat?" he snorts.
"how about helping me out?"
he releases his famous laugh, loud and resonant, enough to wake his children and immediately crowd around his legs. riin moves to a sitting position and blows a strand of hair from her face. she squints at them bonding and stands to leave, only to be pulled back.
"they're starting to like you," he smirks. "you must believe that you're cat." he wiggles his eyebrows.
riin scoffs at his ridicuous statement, she could not believe what she was hearing.
"do you believe you're cat? for having this many?"
"yes."
her expression flattens and moves away from him, making a mental note to call junho, maybe the doctor, tonight.
