Yayyy! He's going to be ok. Turns out he has some sort of minor disease which causes acid reflux (which we knew he got anyway) so they worked out that with this acid reflux some of his stomach acid had come up his oesphagus and BURNT his throat (which is pretty grim if you ask me). YAY!!! That makes me very happy for you and him. I didn't know how to react with the last post because it is scary worring about your dad, but I'm really glad things are going to be ok. :-)

One of my friends was recently diagnosed with the same thing. She freaked about the miniscule throat cancer increase risk but really - it's a pretty good thing to have, compared to what it coulda been.
