Prologue:
Zac stood with his red cup of beer in his hand. He didn't really want to come to
this party in the first place. He didn't know why he folded when his brother had said
It'd be a moment he'd never forget. It didn't help that everyone at the party was at
least five years older than him. And so he sat alone, and drank while everyone else
partied around the bonfire.
Isaac had been missing for hours now, off doing his own thing but Zac couldn't believe
his brother would leave his famous little brother around so many older women, and so much
beer. He shrugged off the initial anxiety of being around a bunch of potential luntics
after about his third cup of beer. Now he was just coasting on the conversation.
The bonfire grew to about ten feet in the air and suddenly everyone was quiet so Zac
figured someone was trying to speak and he was right. Four hooded men that sort of looked like
out of place friars at a keg stand with a bunch of kids in their early twenties, and then there
was fifteen year old Zac. "Tonight is the night of holy redemption!" shouted one of the men in the friar cloths, "Tonight, all of our work is complete. We've brought fourth the sacrifice and he will
bare the mark of Shodwin Sho for all of us to see!"
'weird...' Zac thought as he sipped his beer, and suddenly he felt as if the crowd was moving in on
him, and as a few more minutes went by, he felt in a tighter squeeze of the crowd. By the time he'd
realized there was any danger he was pushed right in front of one of the funny looking friars who began to lower his hood, in the now low flame light of the bonfire. "Isaac?" Zac asked as he stepped backwards, "That's right little brother, you'll do our family proud." he smiled and fixed his hood. Two huge creatures jumped on top of him and held him down to tie him up. One was green and smelled really badly, and the other had an orange face with yellow strips on his forehead. Zac was so confused and a little intoxicated, he'd figured they were just dressed up goons. Once they had him tied up and stationary in one spot tied to a pike, just for him, the chanting began. Zac couldn't even hear the words, he'd wondered if it was even English. He'd tried to struggle free, and wondered why no one at the party was helping him. But when he glaced around he'd noticed many of the people that were there, had transformed into ugly beasts and were chanting along.
Soon a red ball of light rose from the fire and exploded above the house like a missile that formed a straight line towards Zac's chest and then all was dark.
"The boy is ours now..." Came a demon voice from Zac's mouth, "I will now serve you for my freedom." The demon in Zac's form bowed at Isaac's feet, he had been the leader after all.
"There is a task...." he began, and the demon listened intently.

The city of Angels:
"It's fantastic Rosa I promise, you can go home. My brothers should be home soon." Taylor tried to prompt their new maid away, but it was proving to be rather difficult at this moment in time," No no Mistar Hahsoon." She spoke with her weird accent, Taylor never bothered to ask where she was from originally, "I steel 'ave much to do. It ees what you pay meh for." Taylor sighed, gave up and walked back into his room that they were renting in Los Angeles while they recorded here briefly. He always felt out of place whenever he went anywhere, even around his family he'd felt like he didn't belong. Sighing he picked up his brush, took out the elastic that was holding his hair and looked in the mirror as he lazily brushed. Sometimes he'd do this for hours and space off into his own world, where he did belong.
Isaac had given the Showdin Sho demon specific instructions to follow out, he'd told him what to do, how to do it, and when to do it; now was not that time. Now he was ushering what was supposed to be his fifteen year old brother, back home so they could rest. Zac's eyes were the only thing different about him; the normal carefree brown puppy dog eyes were replaced with an intense angry stare, with a sort of evil concentrated in the center of his pupils; but you'd have to be looking for the Showdin Sho to be able to see passed its clever stolen human form. Isaac unlocked the door to their rented quarters and let him in, "Jesus it's been forever...where the hell did you guys go with out me?" Taylor asked, his hands on his hips.
"To a mixer." Zac said sharply.
"Geez sorry, you guys couldn't think to invite me?" He said eyebrows raised, "I'm actually like older than Z, Ike! It's not fair, shit. I hate being alone."
"You'll always be along, faggot. I'll never take you to a mixer and call you my brother." Isaac shot angrily at Taylor who looked like he was about to cry, "I don't care if you've never said it out loud 'I'm a big fat faggot' I know you are! Mom and dad know you are! Everyone knows. So crawl back to your faggot cave and if your cocks long enough, fuck yourself!" He walked out of the room and into his own, slamming the door behind him. Taylor felt like he'd just suffered a mortal wound, he couldn't breathe, nevermind speak. By the time he looked back at silent Zac for reassurance, he'd noticed Zac had retreated to his room as well. "Well...well fine then!" he screamed and ran into his room slamming the door shut, a couple times, for good measure and then locking it. He threw himself on the bed and started to cry.

Meanwhile in a dark downtown district a tall, dark, and handsome man was waiting behind the shadows of his curtains for his source to appear. A few minutes later he heard the same old introduction that the Memroc always used when he'd appear, "Sunlight..." he sang, "Will kill a creature of the night..."
"Alright knock it off will ya, you know who you're appearing before." Came the wise voice of the man that had been waiting. He stood before the cheery demon that made his mark in the world by annoying people with the tunes, or rather the lyrics they sang about them as they appeared; he wore a regular black leather coat, with a black wife beater and a pair of black slacks and boots to go with it. All in all, it allowed the night to swallow him, and it allowed him to hide a huge load of byzantinian weapons, along with a few others. The one's he did not have on him, he had in the backseat of his _______ black convertible or in the trunk. "Did you get what I want?" The handsome man asked as his face became contorted into that of a scarey vampire, "Or am I gonna have to kill you for wasting valuable time?"
"No!" The Memroc jumped back in fear, "What I mean is...Yes I have your information, no need to be hastie vampire creation."
"Ya know, the rhyming thing? A little annoying."
"For one with the face of a demon and the name of an Angel, Gabriel you are a rare creature of the world."
"Shut up and spill...This time. No Rhyming. or I will shoot" he said rasing his 18th century crossbow at the huge brain of the Memroc.
"Alright alright, it will take place on the Avenue of Lost Souls...I'm not sure what kind of demon has come yet, but I know it just happened last night, on Bridge Grove street, and now it has ventured fourth with someone...that has the power to conceal it."
"Big ugly demony guy's in town?"
"In short."
"And I have to kill it..." He said resting the crossbow on his shoulders, "Nice...here we go again." He jumped into his convertible, resting the bow on the passenger seat and started his car.
"Be careful approaching such things in the dark."
"How about you get out of here, and I won't kill you." He said as he flipped on his sunglasses at night and drove off towards his destination.
When he got to headquarters which was the abandoned office sector, he' managed to buy a building out of. An old warehouse he'd turned into his central haven. It was beautiful. He came in with some paper work and a few magazine clippings, "The memroc says something is definately here..." He said leaving the research to his assistant Sage, "These are all the weird happenings describing something like fireworks or something, and weird happenings for the passed 12 hours, in 12 more I'll have more info, but go on this and tell me as soon as you know something. We need to have this thing destroyed before it does something...well...bad. Real bad."
"And where will you be?"
"Drinking blood, in my apartment downstairs." He said with a straight face as Sage made a face of disgust. "Yuck at least keep the blood lust to yourself?" She asked as his elevator started to ascend.

Briefly the darkness has come:
"I came to you because I heard through the street that, even though you're a vampire....you help people." Came the scared voice of a young woman, "I heard that you deal with things that aren't exactly normal...A little hard to believe if you will..."
"Yeah, Gabriel's a vamp with a soul, loooong story."
"Sure teaches you not to torture certain people though." He added happily, "What can we do ya for?"
"I am a seer."
"A whazzahoozie?" Sage asked as she was taking notes, she always took notes so she could go back to them later, or rather so Gabriel could go back to them later.
"A seer." Gabriel said calmly with a pensive face, "A Prophet from the Oracles, who can see into the future...."
"That's right." The woman added happily and lowered her veil to reveal the tiny eye on her forehead that had her branded as a rightful seer.
"So what have you seen, that is so disturbing.....uh I'm sorry I didn't catch your name."
"My name is Mina, and I have seen the end of the world."

Taylor was home along again, big surprise. Only the regular hustle and bustle from the cleaning lady, Rosa, they'd hired was gone for once. "Thank god..." he sighed, "At least I don't have to deal with her for today." He had just woken up to an empty apartment, hadn't been out of bed yet, but was sure that it was indeed just himself. An irking feeling inside him told him to get up and look around and so he did. First he walked through the living room to the bathroom and pissed with the door open so he could look around. No sign of anyone. When he walked into the kitchen to grab and apple for breakfast, he grabbed it and took a bite. Turning around he saw feet by the table. He wasn't hungry anymore, a little afriad, "Rosa?" He asked quietly, inching on the counter towards the body. What was left of Rosa was laying on the floor, Her face looked melted and her skin looked picked away from her body, his eyes got wide and he screamed, running into his room to call the cops. Before they'd arrived he'd looked in both Zac's and Isaac's room. But all their things were missing.

"A boy, just barely of age. Has been taken by the Showdin Sho. But the Showdin can not just come into the world, it has to be beckoned and placed within a vessile."
"And a child is a vessile?" Gabriel asked, deeply disturbed.
"A child who is imprisoned in a land of darkness, where the Showdin came from and has banished his soul. A child who is beautiful, innocent and pure of blood and intention. We must save him." Mina finished, clicking her long red nails against the desk, "If we don't, the end is sure to come. What I seen in my vision, was not very reassuring."
"I'm sorry, Mrs...." Sage began.
"Mina, just call me Mina please."
"Well, Mina? Right we only help paying customers."
Mina's face sunk and she began to protest but Gabriel put his hand up, and walked towards his case of weapons, he pulled the doors open to reveal a massive storage of them and sighed, "How do we kill it? Without hurting the boy?"
"There is a ritual, it won't be easy."
"I'll do it, work with my assistant Sage, and find out the logistics, I'm kind of a battle type of guy, not a reference man. Find out it's moves, what it's planning to do, and how to stop it. It's important we don't take a life we don't have to."
"I'm glad they were right about you Gabriel, Your redemption will come one day."
"I'm glad, cos I've been startin to think all this demon crap that the Oracles are throwing at me? Are really starting to cramp me." He said walking out of the room to go practice fighting in his apartment.

The poilce were at the apartment for hours, Taylor had had three cups of coffee and was answering question after question. "Now you said you were sleeping and you hadn't heard a thing?"
"Yes." he said again.
"And where have your brothers gone? We've scanned the entire city for them." the detective went on, "Are you sure they were here with you?"
"I'm positive okay?! Look, I'm tired and you've asked me the same things over and over again. I don't know what happened, I didn't hear, and yes my brothers were here, I have no clue where they went. So if you excuse me, I'd like to go to bed." After about a half hour more of jostling Taylor had managed to get ahold of his lawyer and had him relocate to a safer building, he had all his and his brother's things moved and told the police, and his lawyer if they were to hear of them, to inform them of where they'd be staying now. In his new apartment, at least twelve stories high, he stood alone in his bathroom, sipping some coffee and looking out on the city lights. Scared to death to call his family and let them know both Isaac, and Zac were missing. Scared of the thing he saw today that was supposed to be Rosa, and scared to be alone because he knew he was, he had never been so alone in his life. There was no hope for sleep tonight.

In a cave on the side of the rock cliffs of Hollywood there was a ritual taking place. Hundreds of the undead, and even more demons were gathered in the dim blue light of the ocean reflected cave. Four friars stood before them, and a creature of all creatures stood outside its vessile for a mere moment to prove that it was he, they were waiting for. "The moment of the full moon approaches us bretheren. You are the last of the wise, and it is you that will help me succeed."

The rise and the fall of the moon of fire:
"I just can't believe these deaths all over the city....They involve the same type of body found at the scene, Incinerated, but not an ounce of ash. Skin...just...not on the bone...a clean bone...I mean who the hell is doing this Carl?" Detective Joans asked his leader and chief.
"I'm not really sure Joans but we'd better find out, or our asses are on the line....Get to work and let me know if you find anything out."
"Right-o sir." he said and walked out of his office murmuring curses under his breath, "What the hell do you think we're trying to do you old geezer..." He sat at his desk and wrung his fists, this was the most exasperating case that had ever crossed his desk.

"You've got the summoning stone?" Sage asked incredulously.
"It was a pain to get and I had to break a few spines, but yeah. I got it." Replied Gabriel nonchalantly getting a weird look from Mina. "Evil spines...that is...no innocent blood was shed."
"Well we've got the incantation, and we've got the weapony things, the box to capture the evilly thing, and the stone...Now all we need is the boy..."
"What? You guys haven't heard hell or high water about this boy?"
"No." Mina said, "His image was sealed from me, but it is so that his brother is still in L.A. waiting for his return...which I know is going to happen tonight."
"The full moon?" He asked.
"The moon will be a ring of open fire in the sky. Do not let it burn your eyes, be weary and pay attention. His brother can be found here." She said pointing to a map of L.A. hanging on his wall, "It's our only lead, and tonight is the night."

The preternatural meeting grounds had moved to above the cave, all the creatures were lurking about underneath cloaks in the moon light. Waiting for the Friars at the bonfire to move, right now they were in deep concentration, and chanting. Soon the chanting grew louder and Isaac stepped forward, "Everyone! Put on your cloaks and chant the holy scroll!" he screamed over the huge crowd. It would remind someone of Woodstock, if there was chanting instead of music, and evil demons instead of people. Soon the entire crowd was chanting but it sounded like an intense concentration of locusts. The fire grew, and grew, the moon in the sky was the color of a pumpkin, slowly turning red. Zac stepped forward, "It will not work unless we will have the Lonely prophet." Isaac stepped forward angrily," What do you mean?! You said you would do it!" Zac waved his hand and Isaac was flung back against a tree, gasping because a branch had gone through his chest, "I will do it, right." he walked away with out a look back at Isaac who had fallen dead against the tree and turned back to the chanting crowd "Now who will fetch me the chosen one?"

Gabriel knocked on the big wooden door to the apartment where Taylor sat and played the piano to himself. He heard the door and got up out of his seat, tied his robe tighter and pulled the door open with a hopeful face, "Is it about Z- Who are you?"
"It's very important sir, that you invite me in. Now." Gabriel said urgently, "We don't have much time, say it! Say I'm invited in!" Taylor crossed his hands over his chest and frowned, "C'min please....I didn't catch your name..."
"I didn't say it..." He said as he walked over the threshold, "Thank you for the invite though. The name's Gabriel. Something weird happen to you lately?" Taylor looked at him through wide eyes of fear, "I lost my maid and my brothers were abducted recently....but how would you know about that? We've kept it so quiet..."
"You're in danger that's why." He said as he was hooking up his crossbow and readying his instruments in the house, "You're brother is going to come home tonight, he's going to bring a few friend's that aren't so nice...." Gabriel set the trigger back and began working on his pistol of blessed bullets.
"He's coming home? Who Zac? Is he okay?" He suddenly looked suspcious, "How do you know where my brother is and no one has for the passed two weeks?"
"Look..." Gabriel said and started to stand up from his position but before he turned around Taylor had dashed into his room and locked the door. "Hey brother." Zac was sitting on Tay's bed, misty unreal eyes looking up at him, "I've come to make sure you're not alone." Taylor couldn't tell what it was that was different about him but he was relieved anyways to see him, "What are you doing in here? How'd you get in? Are you hiding from that guy out th-" From the corner of Zac's mouth a few straight lines of blood emerged as he opened it as wide as he could to reveal his true form to Taylor. A creature standing at 9 feet, dripping with blood stood before him, he picked Taylor up by the neck as Gabriel started pounding on the door. Suddenly Taylor knew what was different about Zac, "Your eyes!" He shouted, "Help!" The beast grabbed the discarded vessile and threw it over his shoulder. Zac's body hung like it had no bones or no life, like it was a wax sheild next to Taylor who he threw over too. Gabriel bust through the door, with just enough time to see the creature leave the room by the twelveth story window and fire a shot that flew passed its arm. He jumped on the balcony and let himself fall after it, landing on the cement below, he cursed and got into his car to drive around to look for him. He picked up his cell phone and dialed the office, "Sage here, we help the hopeless...er...for a price..."
"Save it Sage, it's me. Turn on the police scanner, and listen for any unusual sighting of a nine foot creature....and uh...call me back if you hear anything.."
"Gotchya boss..."

Just out of the city on a grassy patch of land above what looked like a sea cliff, a giant group of people in cloaks were singing as he approached. "Just what I need...." he sighed, "A cult of dumb kids...." As he got closer he only smelled one human. That human was tied to a pike, naked and gagged. His eyes were wide with fear as he looked around the crowd. The moon had turned a vicious color of blood red, and felt like it was prickling Gabriel's skin. There was a strange smell in the air and as he got closer he realized the singing was in a different demonic language. Zac was back and full of life as he approached Taylor and cut his stomach with a knife, in a thin trail to get some blood on it. He flung the blood in the fire and the moon was a deep crimson. Gabriel felt like he was on fire, when he looked down at his skin he saw that it was smoking slightly. He pulled a blanket out of the trunk and made a make shit robe, and was amazed that Taylor's skin wasn't bubbling or blistering over. "To prove it has worked...bring fourth the victim..." came the voice of the demon, not Zac as he stood high and mighty, "Tonight is ours!" he roared. A shy human looking demon was pushed to the front, Zac walked over to him made a symbol of the darkness in the air and used the knife to slice the man's robes. He bubbled up and burned right in front of everyone. "Tonight, everyone shall perish except the pure ones! Us! and we shall reign!" Gabriel shot his crossbow at Zac just missing him by an inch, "Ah, no. I don't think so." he said.
"Ignorant lower being, all these undead know their place. They wouldn't dare to persue me. To go against me."
"Yeah?" He said opening the box once he was close enough and throwing some ancient sand on him he began to chant, "Oh bring fourth the one that hides in the depths and only awaits to crawl out and claim an innocent soul." He began, "Well, they're not me...either!"
"Stop him!" Zac cried to the demons around him, a few vampires stepped forward and without even breaking a sweat Gabriel dusted them. "Bring fourth the inhabitant of the being that you have claimed, his innocense is pure and it will come fourth and burn you away." He continued throwing the ancient dust on Zac who was infuriated but couldn't move from his spot. "KILL THE OFFERING!" He roared, "WE NEED TO PERFECT THE MOON'S SEQUENCE!"

"The darkness is very close..." Mina said as she sippped her coffee.
"Well thanks for being so cheery...I think we'll keep you around!" Said sage sarcastically as she played with knobs on the police scanner, "There's got to be a way this...ah ha!" she flipped a hidden switch and listened, "This is detective Joans, we're receiving a weird radition from what seems to be the moon...a few deaths have resulted.."
"Oh bad...bad bad..." She said and ran to the phone to call Gabriel.
"I told you, the darkness is near, don't go near the window..."

Gabriel heard his phone ringing but ignored it, instead of reaching in his pocket to grab it, he grabbed the stone and placed it on the ground in front of Zac. He blew one last bit of dust at him and said, "Show yourself and release the child!" Zac's mouth opened wide, blood gushing out and down his chin as the extremely large creature crawled out of him to face Gabriel who had his battle axe at the ready. "C'mon let's dance."
"With pleasure!" the creature screamed and pushed its knarled bloody claws for hands in his direction. He connected a couple times with the axe and back flipped out of the way. Zac's body laid crumpled on the ground and Taylor was still watching silently screaming from his pike. Trying like hell to untie the knots around his wrists. "The sacrafice!" The demon called to the others and one managed to get passed Gabriel and light the pyre. "YES BURN!" the demon screamed, "Every second Taylor remained in the fire, the demon began to grow larger, like he was absorbing him or something. Gabriel jumped over the fire, missed and fell off the cliff. The creature began to laugh hysterically. Zac stirred and the Showdin Sho approached him, "This time I take you soul and all, and you shall perish!" he said looking down at the teen. Zac screams matched Taylors. "Hey!" Gabriel screamed, holding a grappel hook and a small container of water, "I don't like this shit in..my...town!" He threw the stone at the demon, withdrew his crossbow from his back, shot the demon in the head, murmured a few incantations and the demon disappeared into the box, where he was locked. Gabriel ran over to Taylor who was passed out from the fire feums he managed to pour the water on the fire big enough for a place to pull him out. He snapped the pike and carried over to Zac and laid him down. The creatures had all dispersed sensing danger. Gabriel turned to the fire blew some ancient dust on it, and it went out, setting the moon back to it's normal white. "God saving the world is getting really old." he sighed, picked up his phone and called the office, "It's done." was all he said, and hung up. He knew he'd have to get them and himself out of here before any cops came to the random flames on the sea cliff. He untied Taylor and hoisted him into the back seat. Zac was very timid, very freaked out, and moved very slowly to the passangers side of the car. "Don't tell anyone." Gabriel said putting on his sunglasses to sheild himself from the bright flames, "S'not like they'd believe you."
Zac nodded.

Conclusions:
"You've done very well." Mina said with admiration in her voice, "The Oracles were right in choosing you Gabriel."
"Yeah I guess...whatever." he said miserably sipping some blood from the blood bank. A knock came on the door and Zac stepped in with Taylor at his side, "Thank you for saving my little brother..." Taylor said placing a bouquet of flowers on Gabriel's desk in front of Sage, "I want to pay you." Gabriel shook his head, "Nah, we took care of it...we don't do probono." Sage gave him a hurrendous look, "Gabriel we are late on bil-" She began but was cut off by Taylor, "I insist." He wrote out a check and handed it to them, "I think that should suffice..." Sage's eyes were wide like she was about to cry, "Thank you so much! And hey! If your little brother ever gets posessed by a Showdin Sho demon or anything else, don't be afriad to look us up!" She went happily about her business and Taylor turned to Gabriel. "You've really restored something special....thank you."
"All in days work, my friend. Go live a happy life." Tay smiled, took Zac's hand and walked out the door.
"They are two prophets, brother's who are not really brothers, only connected by birth but also by forbidden love." Mina finished.
"So, wait...I just saved his little brother lover? Gross." He said rocking in his chair.
"They are very important to our world or else the Oracles would have left them to rot." She said gathering her things. She replaced the traveling veil she wore over her seeing eye and walked towards the door. "I will see you when you are needed again for the good work of the Oracles."
"Hope that's a while from now, I have this stitch in my neck..." He said to empty office where he sat, he crossed his feet on top of the desk and picked up the newspaper.
