Folk Fun!

The folk music classes at Calliope are having their end of the semester performance at the Quiet Storm coffee house this Wednesday. Both myself and sui66iy will be showing up to sing. I'll also be fiddling up a storm. There will also be a variety of other performers.

It's Wednesday Dec 3. Dana will handle the singing; I will handle the dates. It's really better that way ;-)

I am reading this post while sitting at Quiet Storm, and I'm pretty sure that I was at that show. As a matter of fact, I think my Rabbi was there with a banjo. Maybe he could answer your banjo question? His name is Rabbi Greenspoon, but people just call him "The Spoon" ...

Thanks for the tip. There is a new music shop on Murray Ave. in Squirrel Hill - The Acoustic String Works (I think). I spoke to the owner, and he thinks it's a simple matter of buying a new cover for the banjo. I think I could even do the repair myself (looks like the banjo comes apart very easily).
