1. What did you do in 2005 that you'd never done before?
Held a paying job. It was about damn time.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I tried to for the first two weeks after the New Year (remember our diet, Nuclearfruit?) and was relatively successful…but that was short-lived. One of my resolutions was to be proactive in my own happiness. Moving was a result of said resolution and it made me infinitely happier so I guess I partly fulfilled that. In typical Dankegracht style, I start things and get some results but never finish. I always make resolutions though. They give me hope in myself.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yes, my godmother gave birth to beautiful baby Clare.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Thankfully no.

6. What would you like to have in 2006 that you lacked in 2005?
A steady boyfriend.
7. What dates from 2005 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
April 16th: My godmother’s wedding. October 9th: Fahey, me, and Sasha on a beach in Barcelona at sunset. This week-because I’m with good friends, in a good place, and thankful for the good life that I have.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
This is hard because lately I’ve been feeling like I haven’t been achieving anything worthwhile. I haven’t been proud of myself in a really long time. The one thing that springs to mine is being deemed a favorite/cool counselor by so many of my campers. I know I gave a lot of self-confidence to them. They really looked up to me and I’m proud that I will be a part of their memories of the summer.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Not doing community service for the first time in years; failing to improve my general health by eating better and exercising.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
No, thankfully. I did have a couple of really bad hangovers though.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
A cheap ticket to Spain. A whacky metal statue.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
My mother constantly awes me. She is radiant and independently happy. People always tell me how lucky I am to have her as a mother, and they’re so right. Also, my friend Mally who is a shining example of a good friend.

Elected officials (surprise, surprise). Miss Pink.
