Technology is just a tool dammit! I'm not buying into any of this.

If somebody wants to turn it into a "phantom limb" they will have to start replacing my body parts with state of the art technology! Then I'll go all cyborg crazy on them and throw them out of windows.

Hey Well that's the idea!! Let's rally up for that ... I'm so bored of bank debates and senile politicians, where is my AR capable eyeball with fibre optic satellite-networking lashes and Google+ embedded tears! +1+1+1 cry a river

how much of Us is indebted to this tool before we're no longer using it as just a device but more as an extension of our human selves? and doesn't that progress evolution n-e-way? at least by making it quicker.

I don't know but humanity would benefit from giving me laser eyes, also rockets on my knees and elbows, invincible armor, a fusion power drive; a gatling gun for one hand and a beamsword that comes out of every finger. STEALTH MODE.

Facebook and Google+ seem like trans-humanism taken in a different direction, simplified social interactions instead of heightened physical/mental abilities.

Yea it's really a surface value kind of interaction, which is the dangerous because @ the surface means only performance (like profile pictures, status updates) and forced social actions (Liking / +1ing). For some reason, the "branding" of Google+ seems to be a little less ''personal'' and curated by its users ... but this only goes for my experience, my "circle".

It's reason why I think we are really in dark ages on da net, gotta evolve! But it's a good start. Can't wait to update my status telepathically.
