Have you ever seen Love Actually? I hope so, or else the rest of my comment may not make any sense: It's like that bit in the beginning, where they talk about how when things really suck, then the best thing to do is think of the Heathrow Arrivals gate and all the fluffy cute reunions that occur there. Then even though things still really suck, you can disillusion yourself and pretend they don't. Or something.

So, this is like that. Because I'm petrified about tomorrow, which could potentially crush my soul, but reading this I can totally disillusion myself. Denial is a lovely world.

But really, lovely. I've been missing the lightheartedness and squee-worthy moments of S4 (trip to the Staff, anyone?) and this definitely was reminiscent of those times. Well done.

True, there could be some definite soul-crushing in... 37 minutes. So I'm glad I pulled off some decent disillusioning, for now at least.

Awww, this was really great! I'm in Europe and it's early morning here and I just got 5.04 and will be watching it in a few minutes, and needless to say, I'm feeling really anxious about it, so this is just what I needed. I thought you captured their dynamic really well. The opening was great, the a patch of red in a sea of green line was sweet and I had to grin imagining his reaction when Charlotte starts undressing herself and his awkward jump *g* And of course, I thought this And when the next flash comes, before the light blinds them completely, her hand finds his and their fingers entwine., paired up with the decision to say those lines, and the way he said them, was a beautiful, touching way to end this fic.
