So Jerrod finally got ahold of Chaplain  Broome of the Pentagon. He recomended a chaplain here and said to let them know he sent Jerrod. Then if that doesn't work then HE'll get involved. I really hope things go well for Jerrod getting Sabbath's off! It's especially hard when you have other Adventists who are willing to work on Sabbath. Then they wonder, why can't you? I'm not sure if my brother is registered in the Army as SDA, but he is still a church member since he hasn't requested his name to be taken off the books. And he has no problems working Sabbaths... :(

There is an SDA here at work. I didn't know until I ran into her at campmeeting two years ago. She told me that she's SDA in name but doesn't practice. She's very open about it with some of her friends at work, though. So people eventually find out that T & I are also SDA and they wonder about the church because we're different than the non-practicing SDA.

I wish that if you claim the name SDA, you would actually reflect that name and live up to what the name signifies...

Yeah I really wish that people believed what they said and said what they believed. If you claim to be SDA you should be living what you profess. But it's the same with all religions. Just seems it's more detrimental to us than other religions. And there's a thin line that we cross and become either super liberal or super leagalistic.

Well not much has happened with the sabbath thing. Jerrod's got an appointment with the chaplain here to discuss it but I haven't heard anything yet.
