I will never stop being amazed at the cruelty and callousness of some people. Among the support and kindness, there's been a few assholes and it's shocking. Yesterday there was a particularly bad one and you know, at first I was livid and hurt -- and still am a bit. But one thing Lexy's passing has taught me is the little things like this don't ( Read more... )

This is my first post, sorry, there just has been too many things to deal with. I couldnt make the funeral, although I did go to the closest beach and spent some time on the sand thinking about Lexy (as I knew her). Lexy was actually one of the first people I talked to online, and I can say our friendship blossomed from there. We eventually met, but sporadically. We always had talked about things in our lives (certain things lexy had kept to herself for obvious reasons) and what we were going to do. One thing I am grateful to Lexy was that she was one of the people who helped jump-start my career as a teacher. I'm two classes away from my Masters in Education and a teaching job. I dont know if I would have been here if it wasnt for her help. The last few years I lost touch with her, and sadly this is something I will regret. I remember once, before we became consumed with our own schedules, Lexy told me I'd have to make time for her to teach me to surf (I know! a california boy who doesnt surf. how weird) but sadness, I never had time ( ... )

Those of us who had our disagreements with Lexy may choose to either be mature and let them pass into the dust, or repeatedly dredge them up.

I for one parted ways with her, but I bear her spirit no malice and my disagreements with her ended with her life. No ill shall I speak of her.

(Mind you, I have not been in chat in more than a year now).
