i mean why is it that sheep are usually counted? Especially when they r jumping over fences, sheep in reality don't jump very gracefully. Why isn't a marsupial like a kangaroo, which jumps rather well counted?

Sorry for the rant but it was either this or summer reading :)

maybe cause everyone knows what a sheep looks like, but none of us have really seen a kangaroo--drawn one, maybe, but actually seen one? It might make a visual image harder....

well, i don't know about you, but i have seen kangaroos at the zoo as well as on Kratt's Creatures, so i can visualize one pretty easily.
