This is how it is...

I'm so glad you've never had to deal with a child that has an ASD (that's Autism Spectrum Disorder, since I'm sure you've never bothered to read up on Asberger's Syndrome). I'm glad you've never had to deal with a violent 8 year old that stands almost 5 feet tall and weighs in at over 80 lbs ( Read more... )

Once again, I feel sorry for the poor fuck that is deciding to piss both of you off where it comes to the kiddos...*hugs* I'm so sorry that there are idiots that don't understand ASD...maybe one day they will...when they get the shit beat out of them by a child that has it because they were to "nice" to restrain them.

There is always going to be someone that is not going to understand, and be too fucking stuck up to bother with seeing. The thing that hurts about this is this is someone we thought was our friend. We thought there was understanding there, at least to some small extent. Apparently, we were both wrong. The moment I did something she didn't like, I was suddenly nothing more than shit to be scraped off the bottom of her boot.

You know what I say to that? Guess she was no kind of real friend after all. Teaches me, once again, to be blind and trusting. Maybe I'll learn my lesson about this at some point, hmm? It will be a sad day when I can't look at someone and see the good, rather than the bad.

As an update, she and I will be meeting up this evening after work for coffee and conversation. Hopefully, her chat with Jimmy last night put things into persepective, and we can get this smoothed out. I don't want to lose a friend.

Thats good to hear.

Its hard to understand for someone wo dosent deal with it on a daily basis. Ive had to pin my son down in the middle of grocery stores and had onlookers ask what I was doing to him.

At the ER when i didnt restrain him fast enough he split open the back of his head.
