I think January was just a shitty month all alround for a few people. Choosing others isn't bad, but I've recently been hearing alot of "take care of yourself first." Its also something I have a hard time with because sometimes I forget how important and unique I am. If I don't nurture my own wants and needs, I'll just stagnate, which is really bad.

Taking care of friends is good, but without taking care of yourself, you lose the ability to take care of your friends.

Although it might be best to just ignore what I have to say since its really early, and I am in no way some great philosopher on the human condition.

Hope things get better.

Joe is right. The path to enlightenment is through self reflection. Take it from a philosopher ( ... )

I think self-love is shown THROUGH self-improvement.

you have to realize that others will effect you, sometimes negatively, no doubt. however, we choose those in our lives that can improve our own condition. in some sense, this, too is contributing to our own self-love and self-improvement.

We've also let OTHERS down. And all of those people who continue to be my friend through my own downfalls, is the reason why I continue to love others, unconditionally.

Having said that,
The REAL JoAnne answer...
if someone's fucking with you, fuck them back.
