I know I'm going to sound like Andy Rooney here. But I'm at the store this morning and as most of you know I use a wheelchair so I need a parking space that has extra room to get the chair out. Like a handicapped spot! But it seems this morning everyone and their mama is handicapped. Rows of handicapped placards hung like stockings. Not a free

It pisses me off when I see things like that. Maybe the person had a genuine injury at one point and for whatever reason, his doctor has continued to sign off on him getting a handicapped permit. However, his injury is obviously all healed up and he knows it. Or his elderly parent or grandparent is handicapped and he is their primary mode of transportation, and he felt lazy and didn't want to walk an extra ten feet to the store by parking in a regular space. You know, if there are plenty of handicapped spaces and they're only going to be in a minute in the store, fine, whatever, but when there's ONE left...well, I wouldn't have been averse to keying his cute little Audi for him.

coming from a family where like 4 people in my close family are handicapped... i understand your fustration my uncle and my aunt can barely walk and they NEVER can find a handicapped spot so they end up falling in the parking lot and getting hurt on a regular basis... i really think there should be like a 100% increase in the number of handicapped spaces in most establishments like walmart, the mall etc where large numbers of people come to visit... its horrible... and i can imagine its even more difficult for someone needing one of the van accessable handicapped spaces. /end rant.

If I were you, I'd have parked right behind them and block them in, so they'd have to wait for me to come back out. And they won't bitch about it because they'd feel like monkey ass.
