OMG, I love that old TV miniseries with RINGO. I rented it the other day and it is all kinds of messed up, but it was good prep for the movie with Johnny Depp because I at least knew how the Jabberwocky fit in.

I'm afraid if you aren't somewhat "into" the story of Alice In Wonderland already, you may not care for the movie.

Though, Theo did not know the story AT ALL going in and he enjoyed it.

The last 5 minutes were terrible, though. :(

Oh, I liked the story, it was just the way a girl was written in the 1800's; she was just annoying.

But I'd see Anne Hathaway in anything.

Anything.

You might be dissapointed; they somehow managed to make Anne Hathaway look bad.

As for the Alice storyline, I've actually have never read that nor any of the Oz books. But I understand the movie is a supposed "sequel" to the Alice book that Carroll wrote? And how does Through The Lookinglass relate to the first novel?

I liked the feel of the film and the overall look, the casting was pretty much spot on. But I just didn't love it besides that. Just felt poorly written.
