i figure this is as good a time as any to post the much delayed fall mixtape, part of my on-going mixtape for each season project which i promise from now to eternity. i guess technically i'm a few days late for the season, but thankgiving always feels more "fall" than "winter," right?

i hate that program forever and ever
i will never ever use it again. i don't understand why people are so bent on using it when it sucks up so much fucking ram, re-organizes your files in the worst way possible, and is prone to crashing. people say, "it's the only way to manage my ipod" when it's totally NOT. Winamp will do it 200x better and 200x more efficiently.

oh, it's still downloading. and i don't have itunes any more (haven't for two years). but one of my honest-to-goodness pet-peeves is the ultra-proliferation of itunes when it's an awful, awful program. there is literally NO REASON to use it, but 99% of mp3-playing humanity does.

i have to agree with this. i almost returned my ipod cus i couldnt find a version of itunes that would work with my pirated version of xp :P

also, totally unrelated: i'm reading that susan sontag book comp. thingie right now with illness as metaphor and the subsequent essay about HIV/AIDS. for some reason i've never read her till now? (wtf?) anyway, if you've read it/them, it occurred to me that you might be a good person to talk to about it since it's about re-configuring bodies and how we make metaphors out of physical things that are often outside our control, etc. when next i see you IRL, i might try to pick your brain about this a bit?
