Eijanaika - Overly long - tried to cover way too much story. Fairly good for the most part, but just way too long and hard to follow.
Falkenberg Farewell - Boring selfish stoner type guys wander around a boring small town being boring and selfish. One of them commits a boring and selfish suicide and mails his boring journal to one of his friends. Cut to boring montages as boring lines are read from his journal and the film tries ever so hard to be deep and meaningful.
Cages - Fairly typical telling of girl tying up guy so she doesn't leave him and eventually her realising she doesn't need him and him realising that he really does love her. He seemed like a bit of a dick, but she was pretty crazy, so I guess that's love worth fighting for. Included much too much animal imitation and too dabblings of french wannabe artiness.
Ghosts of Cite Soleil - Interesting doco exploring the cycle of violence in Haiti. Started out almost laughing at the machoism of the gang-leaders, but soon became abundantly clear that there was no sane way to live a life in the haitian slums.
Ex-Drummer - There seemed to be a passable film under here somewhere, but it was buried in so much senseless violence and misogyny that any semblance of entertainment was ruined.
Distance - A Dogma, or at least Dogma-esque film that could probably have been more if it wasn't for the limited lighting which made it hard to follow exactly who was talking or see their expressions properly while doing so - especially considering the film was mainly dialogue based. Dialogue was also very slow and drawn out (as expected from Hirokazu) - a more natural pace of discussion would have allowed the film to fit a much shorter length.
Honor De Cavalleria - Nothing happened for the first half hour of this film. A man asks his servant to help him put on his armour and they walk in a field for a little bit, barely talking. I'm going out on a limb here, but I'm guessing nothing much would happen for the entire two hours of this film, but 30 minutes was more than sufficient to get me out the door.
