this morning i had a dream that involved my cat, Bear, hissing and swatting at a baby shark that was swimming through my living room, as the shark tried to take a bite out of Bear, she pawwed it a few times and it took off in the shape of a salamander,

cats are generally viewed as "familiars" or helpers to witches, etc.
maybe bear is protecting you in some way. you have often talked about the "ghosts" that haunt your house. your dreams may be a way of communicating between bear and the ghosts within your house.
as far as the shark reference goes, i'm not sure. sharks are sneaky, and unrelentless. it is up to you to recognize the sharks that swim within your waters. they are there, but you may not see them till its too late.
