Well after a long consideration, And talking to a few people about the caddy, I'm going to try replacing the shift module. I worked on a guys dryer a few days back, And he owned an Aamco. He told me about 80% of them it was a shift module problem. And that it was a easy fix, maybe an hour of laybor. And that there is an update kit that they put out ( Read more... )

Why do you need an inspection on the trooper? Are you going to sell it? If that's the case, you're going to need that caddy to drive, so you'd better fix the caddy first.

So what happens if it doens't pass inspection? Are you just not allowed to drive it? Thankfully, we're not put through that in Kentucky.

yeah.. but in KY, don't you have to pay a percentage of the Value of the car every year for licensing? So an expensive car costs you more to license, and a crappy smoker costs very little (hrrm.. KY seems to have a lot of beatup pickup trucks)

In Ohio, it's a fixed rate to license the car. and currently there are no inspections... they used to have a emissions check that your car had to do every two years, but they royally messed it up and dropped the program. I heard they want to bring it back again, though.

Is the yearly inspection a safety inspection, or what?
