Well I guess it's time for an update. My car hunt is over. I wound up getting it last monday. I'm not going to have it on the road until I get back from FWA, Witch kind of suck's... I'm going to get some better pictures of it once I get her on the road. And clean. I have a few that I took when I went to look at it. But outside of that. No real good ( Read more... )

I'd hate to be the bearer of bad news, but those 2.5L are junk motors. I've dealt with them in the Cougar, Contour, and Mystic. Just replacing the alternator requires removal of the passenger side CV axle! Might wanna check to make sure the wiring has been replaced under a recall where those cars are prone to catching fire. Easiest way to tell is look at the harness for the cooling fans. If the insulation is cracked and split, the entire harness from under the dash and throughout the engine compartment needs to be replaced.

I had one before, And really had no trouble with it. only thing that isn't the same is the other one I had a manual and bigger wheels.

Okay. At least you know what you are getting in to. I'd hate to see fellow furs make a decision they may regret (Like the time I bought a 99 Kia Sephia.....used with 38K miles on it)
