*screams loudly in excitment!* YESYESYES!!!! I rate Nik and Cal as highly as Sam and Dean, sometimes Nik is an even bigger sucker for Cal than Dean is, no matter what he does his love and honour to his brother never falters, its magical, I love Rob
( ... )
*Joins in on the screams of exctiment* *yey* I totally agree with you regarding the end of Chimera
*spoiler alert* Many readers could have hated the way it ended, but you are totally right their bond is way stronger because Stefan was not willing to give up Misha as a brother even when the truth was reveal.
*end of spoiler* :P
Now I am really psyched about reading Basilik. I hope you come over and visit and let me know what you think of it. Would love to hear how you feel about the book. I may have to throw a Rob Thurman reading book party :)
I think that is why I fell in love with Niko and Cal, because their similarities between Sam and Dean are pretty uncanny. Hey, maybe will get lucky and they will make it into a show as well. Hopefuly though they will stick with the books.
I hope you come back and visit and let me know how you felt about Basilik. I would love to read your take on it, you always give really good book reviews. And thanks for the links, I knew about the main website but for somereaon I thought she no longer had an LJ account, Glad to know she still does. Are you going to join the Basilik book virtual party ? :)

But I also really enjoyed Chimera. Like you said, the twist at the end really, really shocked me. I haven't yet picked up Basilisk but I will soon.
Did you know that Rob has an LJ? http://robgoodfella.livejournal.com/ and also a website: http://robthurman.net/
