After ~6 months with the current Media PC cobbled together from my old desktop Shuttle XPC and a few custom parts to make it capable of recording tv and getting online outside the office, while still running silently, I have had time to reflect on what I would really like to do with this new concept of pc-as-media-hub that lives not in the office, ( Read more... )

Love these USB cages... I have models that do SATA and IDEA, and now one that has USB2.0 and Firewire. Does a great job of keeping drives cool with the aluminum exterior and passive ventilation. External power supply with only a small brick at the end is nice, but would be even better if the brick wasn't at the plug ( ... )
